My Story

Hello, I’m Deryn, the Founder of Bodhi Reflexology.
My path began in nursing, where I spent 14 years caring for patients with varying needs in Critical Care, High Dependancy, Trauma and Orthopaedics, and later supporting families with complex needs through Health Visiting.
These experiences enriched a deep understanding of how life’s challenges—both physical and emotional—can affect our whole being.
Alongside my nursing journey, I felt a growing pull towards more holistic ways of supporting wellbeing. This led me to reflexology—a practice that beautifully combines calm, touch, and connection. It opened a new way for me to care: one that nurtures the body, quiets the mind, and supports the whole person.
I was introduced to the wonders of reflexology while pregnant, I gave it a go in the hope of helping to alleviate symptoms of morning sickness. The sessions were transformative....I was in total awe of the positive effect this ancient Ayurvedic art had on both my physical and mental wellbeing. I felt drawn to learning more and sharing this passion with others.
I went on to train with the Devon School of Reflexology
to become a qualified Reflexologist.
I am fully insured and a member of the
Association of Reflexologists (MAR). I am also an approved Butterfly Touch Therapies Reflexology Practitioner in Cancer Care.
I provide bespoke treatments aimed at relaxation, rebalance and restoration.
At Bodhi Reflexology, I offer a calm, restorative space where you can pause, breathe, and feel grounded. Whether you're going through illness, recovery, stress, or simply wish to rebalance and reconnect with yourself, each treatment is bespoke to your individual needs. I’m here to support you with compassion, sensitivity, and a truly holistic approach.
"Bodhi"
Sanskrit word meaning "awakening" or "enlightenment".
The term 'Bodhi' derives from the Bodhi Tree. This Tree is symbolic in Buddhism as it is believed that Buddha sat underneath the Bodhi Tree when he attained enlightenment and peace.
The Bodhi tree has beautiful heart shaped leaves which encompass the meaning of life.
